how to set hz frequencies under dos for the g400 with vbext or any other program

How can i set a higher horizontal frequency under dos for a grafical application that is using 1024 x768 15bit. in the early days with my g200 i used mgamon and that worked fine but nowadays i can't set it with the g400 and my new sony 420gs multiscan, and 60hz is really annoying when working for a whole day.

Anyone any solution, the readme.txt tells me that vbeext should automatically detect the dcc monitor which it does, but how can i tell my monitor to give a higher refresh rate to the vbext program.

I'd love to know this myself, for the same reasons as wingie ... except that I use BNC monitor connections, so could it work?
