G400 Max heatsink/fan

I just picked-up a G400 Max and noticed that the fan on the heatsink is a three wire type.
Does PowerDesk monitor RPMs and post an error if it should stop spinning? Or is there any other utility program that does?

Nope! (At least I don't know of any such thing.) BTW, my fan did stop working and Matrox techsupport promised they'll send me a replacement. Still waiting for it, though.
