PC-VCR w/no sound

Thanks Haig for the VidTools install tip. I was going out of my mind because I couldn't find any buttons!
Not I can't hear any sound when the TV is selected. If I record and playback the resulting file, I hear sound, but just not live.
Volume is maxed out, mute isn't on... I can't think of anything else!

How is your audio hooked up?

What sound card do you have?

What is your source during capturing?

The audio out cable is hooked up to my soundcard's line-in. Card is the Xitel Storm Platnium, Line-in is set as the active recording device; I was recording some random TV programs.
