DV500 / RT2000 /ATI Video Wonder, the same chipset?
Does the above mentioned cards use the same chipset?

No, the Video Wonder uses the consumer level DVxplore (I think it goes up to a max of 10 Mbps). The Pinnacle and Matrox products use the prosumer DVxpress (up to 25 Mbps) though only Matrox is licensed to use both DV and MPEG-2 capability for editing. Pinnacle has chosen to use only the DV capabilities for editing.
