  • GLClock5.0 Demo and G400

I'm wondering if some G400 users could do me a favor. I'm interested in seeing how the G400 peforms under the GLClock5.0 demo. If a few people who have the time could download the demo and post back the results along with system specs, that would be greatly apprecitated.

To find the demo go to:

    <a href="http://www.demonews.com/demonews/"> http://www.demonews.com/demonews/ </a>

Click on the side bar on "3D Demos" and then on "GLClock".

A direct link to the download is:

    <a href="http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/glclock-5.0.zip"> http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/glclock-5.0.zip </a>

    Thanks in advance!

Cool looking watch. Looks great, but all of the single buffer tests flashed terribly (probably because I have vsynch off).

Here's what I got, and my system....

BTW: Single buffer is ugly and flashing..
And an ugly typo in the program.. it's spelled clock, not clcok

Hey guys, thanks for all the quick responses. Here's the deal. I was talking with a friend that ran the clock demo on some dedicated GL boards (Elsa Gloria, etc.) and an old Matrox Millenium II. My friend is looking to upgrade his home machine and needs GL capablilites. He was unsure just how much faster the G400 was than the older Matrox boards. I thought the best way was to run the demo, and have him compare the numbers. I'll see if I can dig up the Permedia and GLINT numbers, if people are interested.

Sadly, I'm running a machine with no AGP and using Windows 2K, so no G400 for me for a while.

                    Thanks again!
