    Help!!!Having K7/G400 Max probz!!!

    I have been having all kinds of "fatal error" types of crashes with my new K7/FIC mobo and G400Max combo...While, right now, it looks like it is probably the mobo that's bad( I have been running the Max on my P3 450/Soyo BA6 +III mobo for about 2 months)...I have a question....Does the BIOS for the G400 show up at boot....you know, like every other video card I have had...it shows the RAM and the BIOS number for the Video card, before going into the system bios...
    On my Max, it shows nothing...just starts with the system bios...is this normal???

      Well...at least that's a load off my mind. I put my STB Velocity TNT from my secondary (P3 450) system in the K7 system, and it had probs too...so it really looks like eetz the mobo...I am taking it back tomorrow (luckily, its only about a 2hr. round trip to take it back???)...I just wondered about the BIOS thing, because I have never had a Video Card that didn't show the BIOS before the system BIOS...

        What is the rating on your PS? The FIC is known to be erratic when using a PS below 300W, 250W is marginal for this board at best.

          I am using a 300Wat-ter...I even tried putting in two different 250W PS's, but its still the same thing...The guy at AMD said it sounds like a mobo prob...I lost my CMOS settings a couple of times, but, like all endless enigmas, it seems to be intermittent...
