  • ABIT Bios Files...The Truth is Out There...

Here are the ABIT Bios Files for the BX6 rev 2 and the BE6 mother boards. You can print these and use them to keep a record of your Bios settings. They will also help us resolve issues with settings in the future.

The following Files are blank for your records.

    ABIT BX6 rev 2 -
    http://home.att.net/~albpm2/bx6rev2bios.txt

    ABIT BE6 -
    http://home.att.net/~albpm2/be6bios.txt

The following File has my current settings minus the Soft Menu settings -
    http://home.att.net/~albpm2/be6current.txt

My current settings reflect - The use of the ATA/66 controllers (Primaty IDE disabled) and both Serial ports are also disabled.

    Hope this Helps

    Paul

I feel ashamed of myself. I have a BX6, it overclocks the hell out of my poor celery 300 at 2.2v, 96 Mb of generic sdram. I´ve tried a dangerous Millennium I/m3D combo, a G200 8 Mb (oc to 100/133) Mhz and now a G400 32 Mb (oc to 150/200). I even managed to run the G400 in IRQ 5.

Guess what? Never had a single problem. Damn. How do you manage to do it? I try, man, I sware I try, but the damn b*** doesn´t crash...

See what happens when you use a "defective" unit that won't go above 2.01V....

It still runs great - Just can't OC a 600PIII with it... Until it gets swapped with a "properly" working unit that is...

I have two Abit boards myself. A BX6 r.2 and a BH6. Last night I downloaded the latest BH6 bios (BH32-NK) and got a big surprise. I now have the same bus speed selections as the BE6, very cool!!! Combined with the new P-III 500 I might even be able to hit 600 MHz. Combined with the G400-MAX it makes one sweet pair.

CannyOne... if that's an original BH6 then that BIOS still won't let you actually change to those settings.

I gotta agree with Paul, mine works perfect with me Max (and otherwise)!

Hey, I have two Abit's too! The old BX6 with a G200 purring along pretty happily, and a BX6r2.2 with my G400 running along spot on perfectly too....
Still can't let go of my memories (nightmares) of PCChips though
