  • help g400 NTSC-PAL conversion

When I play NTSC DVD and video standart sets to PAL , I get 1-2 "freeze frame" every second. It looks like somebody press pause very shotly. When I switch output to NTSC ,
    all looks o.k.
    So, can somebody help me?

What you are seeing is the difference between the NTSC and PAL framerates and how the video encoder handles them.
NTSC has a frame rate of 30 frames/sec, whereas PAL has a framerate of 25 frames/sec. Therefore if you play an NTSC encoded movie and try to play it as a PAL every second you will have 5 'excess' frames which probably get discarded. The apparent 'freezing' effect you are seeing is actually a 'skipping' effect as the frame rate catches up.
As regards doing something about it, you could try to use the 3:2 pull down reconstruction to help improve the situation (not much). ANother thing you could try that works if your processor is up to the job is to use Region selector to set the Surface flip mode to Soft-deinterlace

    Cheers,

    George.
