• Machine lockups when accesing dvd-player menus while playing dvd

Just to let you know - me too!

Mine just crashes with BSOD (Error writing to drive C:. ).

I have checked that I have the latest ASPI32, latest Pioneer DVD-303 firmware, latest AHA-2940UW drivers, the cinemaster engine update, uninstalling the once working XingDVD player (just died yesterday with the same symptoms) and now, I still can't play "A Bug's Life".

Of course, I haven't tested with other DVDs yet. I once played from start to finish with the same hardware except with G200 and with XingDVD the movie "Deep Impact" with no problems.

Right now, I am only chasing this bug (and trying to molest it away) occasionally as I can still watch DVDs with my home theater system, and I have TONS of work to do.

It just bothers me that my nice setup has a glitch.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with my sys., the link in my sig takes you there.

Good luck!

Have you heard others having same kind of problems?

And btw is there other good DVD players which can rip the most out of Matroxs DVD accelerating capabilities?

Machine lockups when accesing dvd-player menus while playing dvd

My machine always locks if I try to access any of Matroxs dvd players menus by right clicking the window where dvd is playing.

I have updated the cinemaster engine to version 2.0.35.6012 and it does exactly same thing.
I am playing the movie in monitor not using DVD max or clone or dualhead features.

Any ideas?

System:
MSI-6167 + 550Mhz Athlon
Pioneer DVD-113
Matrox G400 MAX
128mb RAM
