The downside to all this Tech help. Thanks Anyway
I recently go new system and installed a G400Max. The first game I played with it was the bundled ver. of Expendable. And it had the same lockup problems that others have been. Knowing it wasn't a problem of not uninstalling old drivers (PD 5.30 are the only ones this machine has seen) I started sifting through old messages. I tried everything I found and the one that finally turned the trick was setting the CAS latency to 3.
Now no more lockups, which has created another problem. Time Management!
I used to say "Oh, I'll just take a break for a few minutes and the blast the hell outta stuff..." knowing that after a few minutes the game would crash and I'd go back to work.
Now it just keeps going and I'm not getting anything done!!!!
Maybe its time to start playing OGL games in the hopes that they'll have problems too!!!
