    G400 crashes again and again and again.

    i've enuff of troubles wif this card (g400 dualhead)
    everytime i set the hardware accelerations performance to full or even the basics i get crashes!!and i'll have to reboot go to safemode and change the settings again and restart. so i'm running G400 without any hardware accelerations.What is the problem?
    i've heard of pple saying G400 wif abit mobo problems.. some say its the seating.. but i just wonder why issit that when i set the hardware accelerations it crashes after a few secs?is it the drivers or the hardware?

    move the soundcard to a different slot, if possible leave the one near the card open

      believe me i try shifting all the cards

          what i did was i change the agpclk to 1/1 (just)
          and for 30 mins it din crash why!?!?
          what has it got to do with the agpclk?
          i'm a cpu nerd.
          i read a few articles about changing the agpclk so i did
          but i'll be losing out when i can use 2x instead of 1x issnt it?

            You should have it at 2/3, not 1/1. You are running your AGP bus WAY out of spec. AGP is spec'd for 66MHz (100*2/3)

              but it seems okay.
              if i set it to 2/3 it's crash
              ?? so how??
              i'm really going crazy it has been for 3 weeks ='(

                How are the IRQs configured?
                And does what Windows reports for IRQs match what your POST reports on bootup?

                  multiplier to 5
                  that should be 500? or am i wrong..
                  then i set
                  agpclk/cpuclk to 1/1 and the crashes stops (for the time being)

                  so what is actually the source of the problem here?

                        IRQs...Interrupt ReQuests. Each device in your system uses an IRQ. Go to your Windows Device Manager (right click on "My Computer" and click "Properties"...one of the tabs is "Device Manager"). Double click in the "Computer" icon at the top of the list. This will show you how your IRQs are assigned.
