  • AGP multiplier question?

    Hi,

I just want to know if i can change my P2B's
    Agp multiplier(2:3 or 1:1).
The problem is that i dont know how- my Award bios(rev.1010) can only give me the AGP Aperture Size?

By the way Sisoft Sandra Pro gives me:
    *AGP bus
    Version 1.00
    Bus Speed 75Mhz
    Data Transfer Rate 2x(150mhz)
    Side Band Enabled Yes
    I've got a G400 Max and a o/c Pii450@504
    Thanx

What I mean by it's already set is just that, it must be done automatically. You are running at a FSB of 112Mhz, and that makes your AGP run at 75Mhz (112*2/3==75).
You DON'T want to change it from this. =)

P2Bs don't give you the option. They detect your FSB, and set the divider accordingly...

By the way my G400 MAX is ROCKING!!!!!
The 360Mhz DAC is really making a difference in my Sony GDM-200PST .
It must be 20% more detailed than my g200.
The bad thing is that my PII-450@504 is not enough and i get only 4188 3Dmark MAX.
                Anyway...

To hell with 3DMark, it is heavilly optimized for SIMD chips. Your best judgement is what it runs like running the Games/Apps that you like, and how it looks.

                    Rags,

I'm more than extremely satisfied with my G400 Max(i've resive it only 42 hours ago ).
It runs super fast in 3d studio MAX v3 (directx or openGL)....
But as a computer fan (and a matrox fanatic for the last 6 years) i cant stand the notion of having something so powerfull (G400MAX) and the only thing that keeps it not running 100% is my proccesor.(in gams anyway---do the Turbogl drivers give an extra speed in 3DStudio Max v3.0)?????

TurboGL will have zero effect on your normal OpenGL apps. Your P2 at 504 should perform somewhat similar to a P3 500 running those types of things.
