  • Athlon, Quake2, blackscreen, TurboGL

I recently upgraded from a PIII to a Athlon 650 on a MS6167 MB. I reloaded windows in the upgrade with 98SE. After installing Quake w/ the Turbo GL driver I get a black screen. I remove the Turbo GL driver and it works fine. I sure would like to get the Turbo GL driver performance. Anything you could do to help me. Thanks!

I am not positive, but I believe that there is an AGP miniport for Athlon boards. Have you found/installed it?
Wish I knew more to tell you.

Thanks guys, I think I figured it out. It only took me staying up until 3 last night. I had to load the BUS Mastering drivers on the CD for AMD chipset, plus the agp drivers. Quake 2 and 3 work just fine now. Only problems that are left are with DVD Player. I am using Matrox DVD Play with the updated Cinimaster Drivers. On the P3 everything worked fine. Now it works fine on the Athlon except when I menimize the window. The video becomes very shakey. I have tried Disableing DMA and Enabling it. No help and it even did this before I loaded the new BUS drivers. Any Ideas? I am going to try and fine some differant Software to see if that makes a dif.
