  • Overclocked results on Max w/Cooling?

I'm thinking of using some extra video card cooling for my G400 Max to overclock it further. I'm aware of my cooling options, but I am curious about other peoples results. I would appreciate if anyone who has experience with this, can post some numbers for me, and also what they used for cooling, and overclocking. I've got the G400 clocked at 112% with the matrox overclocking utility, but I can't get much past that without problems. My computer is used mostly for gaming so any gaming benchmarks before and after would be ideal.

    Hey,

I don't have a max, but i have some advice on using the matrox overclocking utility.

On my regular g400, i could only clock to 110% at 1024x768. But when i raised the res to 1152x864, it overclocked to 120% with no probs. So try different reslolutions, it does make a difference.

I'm actually at 1280x1024, at 112%, I really don't have to many other resoultion options as the next step up is 1600x1200, and my monitor doesn't support 1152x864.
      Thanks for the response.

Well, if you have a MAX w/ plastic bladed fan, applying thermal compound instead of the thermal sticker may help you to push it a bit further... maybe.
