That there be a busmastering/IRQ conflict problem. Move your other PCI cards about (mainly away from the AGP card) and try again.

The only other cards are a pci daytona soundcard and a modem. I have tried taking both of them out and I still have the same problem . I'm using DX7 and if you try to test 3D hardware accel it reboots the system...but it has done that with the last 3 versions of DX. I'm using a soltek motherboard....A Bio FLash to the motherboard seems to have cured the DX problem, but I haven't tried the new matrox drivers yet..wish me luck. Well the reboot problem is gone on start up , but the system shuts down if you run the DX7 hardware accel test for 3D.

Well after much work, I've gone back to the drivers that came with the card . 3D accel under DX7 works as does 2x AGP (which never got past 1x w/ the new drivers). With the new drivers installed the system was very unstable , so I think I'll just stay w/ the old drivers .
