  • S-Video output through SCART possible?

SCART interface description mentions only chrominance and luminance inputs. Does it also allow S-Video output?

The reason is that I would like to capture using S-Video signal instead of composite from my VHS VCR, which has only composite and SCART interfaces.

BTW, how much of a quality increase would I get by using S-video signal for VHS quality footage? I am not using it for final production, but red and blue color bleeding and color "ghost shadows" are bugging me anyway.

    Any suggestions?

    Regards,

    Alexei

Check your VCR's manual for SCART pin connection. There is no Y/C singnal pins in VHS VCR I guess. U need S-VHS VCR.

SCART pin connection can be found here:
