  • Marvel G200 and Voodoo2 problems

I didnt know exactly which forum to post this in 'cause it fell under so many of them. I've noticed that when I install my STB Black Magic Voodoo2 drivers (old or new) I loose the ability to view the Matrox Demo and screen saver. I read months ago that when the card looses the ability to play these you've probably lost full AGP support.

Its obvious that I spent my money on the 2D card and dont put that much importance into 3D with the $75 card I bought, but I would like to play the occasional game without loosing out on G200 capabilities.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks for your help in advance...

    Hi,

Make sure that in the settings for your voodoo card that it is not enabled for D3D. If so, then the computer will simply not know which card to use for the demos or game and will give you a real headhache. So either disable D3D in your voodoo configuration or get a program such as 3D Control Center or the latest PowerStrip to be able to manually select what card to use for D3D.
