  • How many people with G400 max problems are overclocking their Celeron?

Just a thought - it seems that a lot of G400 max users with Abit mainboards are experiencing crashes at AGP 2x. I'd imagine that many Abit users are overclocking their processors.

Could people who are having problems chime in and report whether or not they are overclocking?

I replaced my Abit BH6 with an Asus P3B-F, and am still getting some lockups in openGL games, and frequent lockups in D3D games. I'll report back after I set my bus speed back to 66 mhz.

If you are overclocking Celeron, the key is to overclock all the way to 100 MHz, like 300 -> 450 or 366 -> 550. This way, your PCI, AGP and memory are running within spec, and the only thing overclocked is the CPU.

Hmmm, I still get the lockups at 66 mhz front side bus.

Celeron366@413 or 458 with a vanilla G400 16sh@150/200 on a MSI 6163-no problems i.e it seems to be able to take high bus speeds.
