    I like Smirnoff Gimlets..

What processor speed and resolution are you doing the test at?

      800x600x16 Dx7 = 2900
      800x600x16 Dx6.1 = 3040
      1024x768x32 = 2800

        When I had a 16MB G400, with a P III 500 not O/C I would get 3,364 @ 1024x768. Did not save any test's or I would have post them for you.

        When I had a P II 400, the 16MB card would do 2,818 at 800x600.

Difference between AGP X 1 and AGP X 2 is higher numbers in 32MB Texture Rendering, otherwise my tests are similar.

How come it seems everyone's scores are getting lower and lower? With a P3 500, you could get up to almost 5000 or above 3d marks I think because of the SSE. On my Celeron OC to 464 with G400 MAX before OC, I get 3700+ in 1024x768 32bit and 32zb. You guys should definately be getting more.

              Thank you for your news
              My CPU is P3-450.
What about RAM? I have only 64 Mb!
I think MATROX need more...for best result
But 3000 3DMark in 800x600x16 ...is too slow
              for this card

                  Hi all

These news are worrying me a bit, my G200 Marvel 8+8MB SD@110/147MHz does 3300 3DMarks@800x600x16-Vsync->on. Does this mean I will get virtually zero performance increase when I buy the the G400 Marvel.

I personnaly get 3550 3D Marks at 800x600 16 bits with a G400 32 megs-DH. I have a P2-350 overclocked at 392 (112 FSB). I only have 64 megs of RAM too so RAM does not seems to be the answer you are looking for. With a P3-450 i would expect higher score than mine. Maybe 32 megs of RAM on the card help but not that much !!!

Try setting your AGP aperature to 128 megs in your system bios and disable Vsync using the reg hacks found on Ant's web site. If that dosen't work, get a big rock and smash that damb thing! That'll teach it!!

Well, did you smash that damb thing with a rock like I told ya? Seriously though you aren't going to see very high frame rates in 16 meg texture rendering no matter what you do because you only have 64 megs of ram in your system. In order to get higher results you will have to get more system ram. Your results do seem pretty low though. It sounds like your AGP aperature is set too low. Even if you only have 64megs of ram, set it to 128. Other than that, all I can think of is that you have a lot of programs running in the background sucking up too much ram. Try shutting down all of the programs that aren't nessessary. Anyone else got some input on this?

                              Good Luck
