I e-mailed Matrox support and Matrox sales asking about the dvd add-on module and neither one responded. Maybe someone here can tell me?
Where is the dvd module? No seems to have it in stock and everyone has hundreds or thousands on back-order. Will it work with the AMD processor? I know these are tuff questions but you would think one of the scientists, engineers, programmers or salesmen at Matrox might know the answer.
I tried several times to get an answer from Zoran and Matrox about the problems with SoftDVD and the AMD chip but no one would respond to my questions. Finally Matrox posted a very small-print notice that this software won't work with AMD.
I personally don't think I will ever again buy a Matrox card and I have told everyone I know about my problems. I know I can't influence much of the market but until Matrox can fix their problems I don't think their cards are worth the hassle.
