    Second Max

    My second G400Max should be here tomorrow. The first had heat problems so I sent it back for a replacement. Only took a week for them to ship a new one; not bad. Anyway, has anyone had problems with G400 and any of the following: SB soundcards, Promise ATA66, 3Com Ethernet, USR ISA modem, or USB addons? I am going to get my system finally pimped out.

    Hi Ozy,

    I had a similar setup using the AT/66 controller (ABIT Hot Rod Card). I experienced frequent lockups and problems caused by the HPT366 Ultra DMA controllers sharing an IRQ with USB. This was confirmed by ABIT as a known problem. Mine are now sharing an IRQ with the SoundBlaster Live without any problems.

      Yeah, one of the problems I had before was with the USB on the motherboard not working right. Windows locked up when I tried to detect it.
