AGP 2X on GVC 1541 Ali board

Help

I can only get my GVC 1541 Ali chipset board to run AGP 1X with my G400 32mb D/H

My system has all the latest drivers Bios etc

My system is as follows

K62 400
128 PC100
8.4 GB Western Dig H/D
40X BTC CD
32X/6X DVD Pioneer DVD Rom
Windows 98 SE
