    Markus:

REALLY NICE! I find the new version to be everything I wanted it to be! I'm especially happy to be able to simply capture now, without having to do the test capture first. I also found that it was much more robust, in that one clip I couldn't capture last week without a frame drop here and there at lowest compression / highest resolution, I am now able to capture without a single frame drop at all! And THAT is definitely worth the wait!

Anybody who doesn't have AVI_IO in their bag of tricks is simply missing the boat!

New version of AVI_IO with multi-reel playback

      Markus,

It's great to hear that the new (output) version of AVI_IO is ready.

How do I go about getting it if I'm already a registered user of the old version? Will you be sending it out automatically or do I have to request it.

      Thanks very much.

Hey Markus, what was the URL to get AVI_IO again? Also, did you manage to fix that little bug with the RR-G? Or did you just confirm my suspicion that it is a bug with the VT151 drivers? Thanks Markus!

I was using AVI_IO to play back 6x1GB files (clip is 44mins long). During the fourth file (about 22 minutes) the hard drive started to access heavily. I think it was Windows writing parts of the swapfile back to disk. I am currently using Windows 98 SE. I turned off virtual memory on my PC and rebooted and then it played back perfectly.
Is there a solution to this rather than turning virtual memory off?

I am trying out the trial version of AVI_IO. I am having trouble getting it to capture in mpeg-4 format. Every time I try it I get a
                ERROR INITIALIZING VIDEO COMPESSION.
All other codecs work fine but those. The mpeg-4 is the format I need and the reason I would perchase. I read the note about setting capture setting befor the first capture, still no luck.
