Icons with pink halo?

Hey guys, I just got my MAX yesterday. I'm absolutely pleased with its unbelievable peformance. I did get it to work: perhaps it takes a Nuclear Engineer to get it to work.... ehheh. The only prob is that on a few of my icons: ICQ and sometimes my windows explorer buttons, there is a pink halo. I'm running a 133MHZ FSB, but when I changed it back to 100MHZ the problem wasn't solved. AGP aperature is set to 128MB, the amount of RAM I have.

One other thing: anyone know how to change the brightness on quakeGL??

Yup - I get those pink halos on my G200 here at work if I change colour depth to 32 bit and back, or just from 32 down to 16bit.
Reboot & they're gone.
