  • Is G400 a AGP x4 card ???

I was wondering Matrox claims that the G400 has support for future x4 AGP mode. but as I heard it is not true... anyone know about this ??? and what is the difference between DiME and DMA agp modes ? (hope I wrote that correctly...)

The card is compatible with 4x specs, and will run on 4x mobos when they come out (not all cards will), but will not do 4x transfers.

    DiME/DMA...

DMA - Direct (or is it dynamic) Memory Access. Copies AGP textures from video memory to system memory, then back to video memory when that texture is needed again.

DiME - Direct Memory Execute. Copies AGP textures from video memory to system memory, then executes directly from system memory when that texture is needed again, thus eliminating the extra transfer back to video memory.
