G400 TV Out problems

I have a g400 Tv (Marvel 16mb)...
I would like to output my computer to the
TV (Composite) at 640x480.

This works but the text looks really crappy... I thought TV's are optimal at 640x480.. I dont know what refresh rate its at or even how to change that. What I want to do is record my application running to my BetaMax then capture the results back in. At the moment it looks real bad. Could anyone help? Maybe tell me the way to set up TV out refresh rate/resolutions and what
the best are? Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Mindslayer,

Why use the BetaMax in between, just connect your Outputs into your Inputs, and you can capture the outgoing picture with the PC-VCR.

The idea sounded idiotic when someone asked if it would work, but once I tried it, it did work
