  • Guys ! PD 5.15 is NOT for G400/G400MAX users

    Hi !

THE PD.5.15 is NOT for G400 or G400MAX users & they are NOT beta..they are made for MARVEL & RAINBOW RUNNER users with some kind MATROX beta VIDEO TOOLS..I contacted Matrox Tech-Supp. & they advised me NOT to USE it with my G400 .

The REAL G400 beta drivers are PD 5.20.xx & u cant download them anywhere...only if U r BETA BOY (MATROX BETA TESTER or DEVELOPER) than u can download them directly from MATROX .

    bye !!!!!!

This is true. 5.13 are the current drivers for a G200/G400 without RR-G or Marvel.

The wait for 5.2x grows shorter every day

If you want access to developer files, there is a form to fill out on the Matrox web site. The Beta program is a closed program, and at it's limit of participants.

I use 5.15 and dont have any problems. Unless they cause performance degrades, I'll probably keep them. Do they affect performance compared to 5.13?

5.15 was a quick and dirty patch for making the rr-g series to work with the g400s. my friend ended up having so many problems that he ended up taking his rr-g series out of his computer and buying a second motherboard to use in it with his old g200. i myself have not had problems with the 5.15 and my rr-g series tho.

I don't think it says anyway that you shouldn't use them but they were made FOR people that have Marvel/RR. I have a Marvel and 5.15 drivers and no problems but my 3D Mark scores(in all fields) have drastically dropped from when I had 4.91 drivers. But I don't see much difference when I play TFC online.

                      LAMFDTK -
On matrox's website, the most current drivers listed for G400 are 5.13.

The 5.15 drivers only appear in the RR-G and Marvel section. On the Marvel and RR-G pages, one of the notes posted directly under the 5.15 drivers reads:

                      - This driver is only for use with Beta Video Tools 1.50 (above)

Which indicates if you don't use the VT package, you should not run these drivers.
