  • overclocking the millenium I- how to benchmark?

I downloaded MGAtweak from MURC the other day, and thought it might be fun to try to overclock the old millenium I in my k6233 machine. It has 175 mhz ramdac, 4 MB, and is PCI.

Well, it apparently is quite an overclocker, going from 50.11 to 65 with no videa artifacts, and to 70 with some tiny artifacts in quake.

My question is how to benchmark. I tried running plain old quake, figuring that high resultions would tell me more about video than CPU, but I got the exact same benchmarks at 50.11 and 65 mhz. So either MGAtweak doesn't work or quake is not a good benchmarking for this sort of thing, or the program is still CPU-limited.

ANy ideas how to benchmark purely 2d video?

    Thanks! (email is appreciated)
