Actually, I found my Matrox G400 Max on a shelf up here in old Toronto, and was quite suprised. needless to say, I picked one up immediately. So, if anybody is wondering if the Max has started to ship to the distributors, wonder no more.
I am very impressed with the performance that I am getting from this card. i have a PII CeleronA @ 450MHz, and Quake2 at 1024x768 kept up very well with my previous dual voodoo2 setup. Colours are bright, and the detail is simply amazing. Personally, I'm glad that I decided to wait for the G400s to come out; it was definately worth it!
