  • Possible MAX in Vanilla G400?

I was replacing the heatsink for my CPU recently and I noticed a small white fan connector on my "Vanilla" G400. I heard some MAX'es didn't quite make it, and were marked as the regular G400. I'm looking at the memory chip, and this is what it's markings say:

    SEC Korea 913
    KM4132G112Q-5
    UFB041K G

Anyone can confirm if it's a Max?

        to get this straight ...

it is not a MAX, it was built as a MAX, but failed the MAX's quality tests, hence it was stamped down.

BUT: it has MAX parts on it

Be happy and OC it 'til it smokes

Maggi is right.. It fail the Max test but it was built as a Max.. So you get 5ns Ram and the chip was clocked at 360MHz and the default speed was set to 144/192.

I have the same board and was about to OC it to 165/220 easily... I am still wait for my Global Win to snap on the board.

I will keep you guys posted...

Matrox must have very strict tolerances. I mean if they wont mark a card a MAX that can do 165/220, wonder what they do allow.
