  • Interesting review on Sharky's

    Quote:

Now that the G400 is shipping, it's time for us to take a look at what it has to offer. In this review we've chosen to compare it to the Guillemot Maxi Gamer Xentor 32 TNT2 Ultra (default clocked at 175/183MHz), which is the G400's closest rival in terms of features, performance and price. Read on to get the whole picture.

    ...

    Did you get that ?
They call the regular G400 competitive to that TNT2-U ...

    Interesting to read.

    G400 DualHead 32MB SGRAM @ 201 MHz memory clock

PS: Maybe we should send that link to Tom, so that he might get a figure of what nonsense he's tendind to write ...

    Hi,

Ya, i just read Shark's article. The G400 was just about the SAME as the TNT2 on every benchmark, and the TNT2 is clocked 30% HIGHER! The new PD drivers will make the G400 the undesputed champ of graphics cards (as if it wasnt already ) Shark gave it a 9 out of 10...thats pretty damn good...and his only low points will be corrected with the new PD drivers, so i guess that would make it a 10 . Glad i got mine!

Wasn't somebody stating that the early previews were based on early drivers, hence a big performance gain was to be expected ?

Ooooops ... I guess that was me
(amongst other knowing people, of course)

Thank god, that it finally was officially proven

Sharkyextreme almost always writes great unbiased reviews, unlike some site...tom's hardware. Now all I need is $250 and store that has a MAX in.
