  • Help! Open GL Not Working

    Hi

I have just purchased a new machine (PIII 450) with an G400 32mb duel head
AGP card and I am very pleased with its performance in D3D games but I can
not seem to get any Open GL games or the Open GL screen savers to run.
When I try & run Quake II or Half Life in Open GL mode I get an application
error. The same message appears when I try to set the Open GL screensavers.
I have downloaded the latest drivers from Matrox web site & Quake II is
patched up to the latest version 3.20 so I really do not know what to try
    next.

    Any help gratefully appreciated

    Dave

Have you disabled the dual head feature??

You cannot play games (OpenGL based) with the dual head function on.

In addition to OGL not working with Dualhead enabled, make sure you are in 16bit or 32bit color mode. 24bit will not work with OGL...

if you haven't tried yet, try upping your AGP aperture-size in the BIOS to 256 or above, even if you don't have the memory for it.
