  • G200 (MAXED) Mystique (8MB) 3DMark99Max Scores

Okay, Okay, While everyone else is playing with their nice shiny new G400s and MAXs, I'm stuck at home with my old (albeit trusty) Mystique G200 8MB. (Note the keen pangs of Jealousy that discolor this post! )

Well, anyway, I've been trying to make my system faster, stronger, better than it's ever been before. I've done that (with less than 6 Million dollars thankfully), and still no G400Max. Oh well, patience is a virtue.

I had finally achieved the 600Mhz mark with my PIII-450, but in the end, it had cost me some points in the 3DM99M scores. After playing around with several video card OC'ing utilities, I'm proud to say that I've hit a new high for my system...

I know, I know (sigh) they are not comparable to the G400 numbers (I had to run @ 640x480 16bit to achieve these numbers, but still, they aren't bad by any means.)

Without further ado, here they are.

(Oh, and sorry for posting the predecessors to these in the post regarding AMD performance and driver tuning for AMD, earlier last week)

The OC utility I am using is not available yet. When it becomes publicly available, I can post the settings. There are a lot of them, and trying to find out the best combination is a lot of fun (if you like watching your system hang a lot due to over-tweaking)...

      Nice one Guyver. Impressive scores.

My G400 32MB DH only manages 3,900 3DMarks on a Celery 300A@450MHz system. The G400 isn't overclocked in any way though....

        Thanks Chris!

I have to do something with my time waiting for my G400Max to arrive. Complaining about it sure doesn't do anything - besides raising the temp that is ! Heh-Heh!

I still think there are some points left to be had in this old system before the Max arrives. I guess I will continue the hunt.
