  • G400 OEM v. Retail specs - need quick answer please

Can anyone please tell me the difference between the OEM and retail versions of the G400 32MB DH?

Sorry to be pushy but I need a quick answer whilst a stockist has a few of the OEMs available. If the only difference is the s/w then I'll go for it.

    Thanks in Advance

    Tony.
    FT.

It should be just the box, and maybe the software. Check you get the TV Out cable too though.

OEM dual-head cards ARE upgradeable with RRG. They are exactly the same as the retail pack version except no box or games. You get the card, the tv-out cable and the driver/DVD player cd-rom.

And do they have that connector for the RR-G ???

If I remember correctly, exactly that was the difference ... or was it just for the SH OEMs ?

*somewhere* (total brain lock...) I read that there would be a Dual Head add on card available for Single head users. If I can figure out where I saw that..I'll let you know. I even had a price (~$50 Canadian) from somehwere..but I don't see it on my price list anymore. Nuts

Specs? You want specs? Yeah. Alright you primitive screwheads, listen up. See this? This is my boomstick! It's a twelve gauge double barreled Remington, S-Mart's top-of-the-line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop Smart. Shop S-mart. Ya got that?! Now I swear, the next one of you primates, even touches me...

all dualhead cards are RRG compatible. It is the singlehead cards that are not. And yes, the OEM DH cards do have the connector. I remember Haig confirned it on the Matrox users group

It's all over - Simply had some of the regular G400 32Mb DH retail for only £6 more than the OEMs that DABs had earlier in the day. Thanks for the help.

Anyone want to buy my G200 + extras below?
