  • Serious DVD'Max' problem!

Ok - get new DVD drive, install - works, install Matrox DVD player (Cinemaster), fine. Play Matrix DVD - excellent - piped to large Sony TV - gorgeous. Get up next day, turn on PC, mmm - lets see some of those scences again .... all works on PC screen, but DVD'Max' now looks like 4 small screens on top of one another in the centre of the screen thus:
    [ ]
    [ ]
    [ ]
    [ ]

The 4 screens on the TV are displaying what is on the PC display, but VERY jerkily.

Ive done the usual things - deinstall, reinstall of DVD software and drivers etc.

Can anyone help - the onscreen display is perfect, but the TV (UK-PAL) display is pants. (N.b. tried another player too - PowerDVD 1.6 - which displays fine on TV, but crashes after about a minute of playing the DVD)

    Heeeeeeeelp

    Yikes!

Have you checked to see if the DVD players settings make sense? Otherwise it sounds like maybe "DualHead Clone" has been selected by accident.

Like I said, PowerDVD works fine - except it crashes after about a minute. The problem is the Matrox Cinemaster player - but I can sort it for love nor ...

        Try this little tool:

it does have some nice features to tune your Soft DVD Player, just try the Cinemaster section...
