  • AGP 2X ... what is required?

    Hi, there!

My G400MAX is shipping next week, and I was wondering whether I'll be able to run it with AGP 2X on my set-up.

Is any special hardware support (besides an AGP port, that is) required to support AGP 2X? My motherboard is a QDI BrillianX I, with the latest BIOS update installed.

I've never heard of that motherboard, but if it's an Intel BX chipset based board, and you're running Win98, you should be fine (for win95 you need a driver for the PIIX AGP-to-PCI-bridge, or something like that). If it's a Via chipset, or something else, there'll probably be an AGP driver you'll need from their website.

Yep, Intel BX chipset. I should be good to go.
