  • Video speed in Windows and Linux with G200.

    Hi guys,

I have found that the video speed of my 8Mb G200 Millenium SGRAM in Windows and Linux is just jerky to say the least. Windows is smoother than Linux but Windows on my PC is still nowhere near as smooth as Linux on other machines with lesser cards.

Dragging windows around in Win and Lin seems irregular and jumpy.

I installed COL2.2 on a P233MMX with a 2Mb Matrox card (?) and the movement of the Windows in KDE is smoother than anything I have ever seen, even in Windows.

I've tried different IRQ's for the G200 and also tried the Auto setting in the BIOS.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    BFN.
