YES, if anything is, this is (judging from all blue-screen posts).

All these BSOD:s can now be eliminated from the face of the earth!

In your "system.ini" file, the [386Enh] section, add the following lines:

MessageTextColor=X
MessageBackColor=Y

where X and Y are hexadecimal values from this list

0 - Black
1 - Blue
2 - Green
3 - Cyan
4 - Red
5 - Magenta
6 - Yellow/brown
7 - White
8 - Gray
9 - Bright blue
A - Bright green
B - Bright cyan
C - Bright red
D - Bright magenta
E - Bright yellow
F - Bright white

The bright colors are for text only, if chosen for background they still appear as regular.

This is not a bug, it´s a feature

(This might very well be a Windows bug. I´ll have to look into that. Blue screens are supposed to be - blue).

quick ?? for ya...rubank, do you need to reboot after the changes? and will it change the startup screen as well? if not any ideas? ;-) i have a bud willing to try it at work but he needs this info first...

yes, you have to reboot.
No, this doesnt affect the startup screen.

The startup screen is a .bmp-file called "logo.sys" that should reside in your root dir. (C:\). Rename it to logo.bmp and you can edit it in Paint (or any other graphics app.). Remember to restore the name.
