  • No zoomed video playback with DualHead Zoom

Playing a video with MS-MediaPlayer or ATI-VideoPlayer(left over from my previous videocard) the primary monitor shows correct video but the zoomed area on the second monitor only shows a black window. Anyone has an idea what I am doing wrong???
Is there an FAQ somewhere with DualHead issues?

There is nothing wrong with what you're doing. This is a normal behavior with DualHead Zoom. The black window you see is the overlay colorkey used by the player. To do something similar you can use a TV and DVDMax. Or, if your player supports it, you can disable the hardware overlay.

The hotkey combination does not seem to work in the TechDemo. Pitty that Zoom only works via hotkey and Clone does not provide scaling to smaller resolutions.
Main reason for me buying G400DH was to mirror the high-res desktop to a 32" 16:9 TV with VGA input. I hope Matrox will provide some additional configuration settings that allow a more flexible configuration of DualHead...

If not Numega's softIce will be the next thing to be tested with G400.
