Ulead Video Studio 4 Demo OUT and question...?

I'm checking out the demo myself, but has anyone already tried out the demo or full version?

I want to know if Video Studio 4 can do simple black mattes for a letterbox effect. Or do I have to use another program to do that?

I have a project with mpeg2 source and I've been transcoding to PICVideo, to edit before outputting in Matrox Mjpeg to get the highest quality. I'd rather cut Mpeg2 and skip the PICVideo step.

No one has an answer?

I played with the demo a bit. And it seems like the answer is no. It might be possible to hold a horizontal wipe at a letterbox ration for the whole clip, but I figured that out yet.
