  • I updated the motherboard bios and now I am only getting AGP 1X

I´ve always been kind of proud because I never had a problem concerning AGP 2X tranfers with my G200.
I have an Abit BX6 and the newest bios LW and MP defaults the G200 to AGP1x. I confirmed that with Final Reality AGP test, suddently I was getting a lousy 40 fps. I forced AGP2x in the registry, rebooted and there it was: AGP 2x and FR AGP test went up to 80 fps. I was using bios JL and never had any problem.

Is somebody updating their abit bios and getting this?

(I edited this because I meant JL bios, not LM, that doesn´t even exit)

    Hi Nuno,

Did you reset your AGP aperature to what it was before?

      Hi there

Yes I did. 128 Mb as it was before.
It is now working at 2x because of the reg hack, but I am concerned about stability... couldn´t see any problem running the AGP test, even the 36 mb one, but why the heck did it default to agp 1x?

        Stange thing

I uninstalled PD 5.13, installed it again, and all is back to normal. Now it defaults at AGP 2x without the hack.

But I am pretty sure it was at 2X before I flashed the bios.
