  • New G400 overclocker released...

    http://grafi.ii.pw.edu.pl/gbm/matrox/

GBM, that good ol' guy who gave us PINs overclocking for out G200s has posted his G400 software overclocker, G4set.exe

I know some of you have heard of it, because I've been talking about it for a while now. What I forgot was that it was not yet public Well, now it is!

Personally, I like this program, because it gives you the ability to change the clock dividers, making it possible to raise the memory speed beyond the point that Powerstrip or G200clk can. It doesn't have as many options for memory as G200clk, but I have had better results with it nonetheless...

Grab that util, mount a fan, and you've almost got yerself a MAX

kruzin: something is screwy with this program. I currently use g200clk and have my g400 set to 290PLL or 145mhz core, 193memory. On Quake2 q2test5.cfg at 1024x768 32bbp I score around 61fps, but with g4set at the same PLL settings i score 28fps. Very strange.
