Does the g400 dvd software require an IRQ?

Software can never require an IRQ itself - only hardware devices can. (OK You could argue software modems....).

So the answer is no. Just pop the g400 in, install the drivers, the install the DVD software, and Bob's your uncle! Beautiful, macrovision encoded DVD out to TV or monitor!

Thanks for the quick reply.I am now going to
take out my hardware decoder card(when I get
my g400)and use that IRQ for my ethernet card.
