    I'm having a problem calibrating the color on my video captures (ulead vidcap 5.2). The vectorscope appears to be lined up on the color bars, and the waveform monitor is in a step pattern, although as I move the slider up and down this all changes somewhat. The problem is that the capture looks washed out and awful. I try to correct it through the RGB video filter in MSP 5.2, and it just looks washed out differently...

    Is there any way to adjust the RGB in vidcap? Or are you limited to the shotgun approach of hue, saturation, etc.

    Help!

    Have you adjusted the TV-Out settings in PowerDesk yet? These affect the output while the vectorscope is more for aliging the input. Also the default TV-Out settings are more for putting games or the desktop out to a TV.

    Here are the recommended video editing settings for NTSC and PAL as listed in the PD readme.txt file;

    NTSC
    Brightness : 180
    Contrast : 234
    Saturation : 137
    Hue : 0

    PAL
    Brightness : 167
    Contrast : 255
    Saturation : 138
    Hue : 0
