  • Feedback needed please.

    Hello everyone,

Can I have some feedback about our web site based on the following questions:

    1. Are you able to find the information you are looking for easily?

    2. Is the information presented in a clear and concise manner?

    3. How would you improve navigation throughout the site?

    4. Is there anything missing that you would like to see?

    Your feedback will be appreciated,

    Haig

I haven't been able to find info from the search engine.

One example: I don't know if it's because the info's not on the site or the search engine is crap but it returned nothing when I searched for "turbogl".

      Hi Haig,

When I go to the Matrox site, it is usually to look for new drivers, and I really appreciate the fact that you guys have a "click here for latest drivers" thing right up front.

So many other vendors' web sites make you guess... Are the drivers in the "support" section, or are they in the "downloads" section? Or maybe you have to go to the product information section for the particular product you want drivers for? And are these files the latest drivers? Who knows...

Compared to what some other vendors offer, the Matrox web site is great.

I like most of the way the site is. I would like a bit more information on new driver changes and releases. For instance, sometimes the drivers updated are actually older drivers taking the place of new ones. Also, information on Bios changes, I know there is a text file that shows changes, but sometimes it is not easy to figure out what the changes actually do or mean. All in all your site is pretty darn good. maybe if you guys could send over a rep to Creative labs and tell them how to make a site that works.

the site is much better now it is soo pretty!

Seriously Haig - its fine and I am sure that the way Chris and all the others co-operate and work to provide help and answers will ensure it stays that way,and move towards any demand!

At least thats the impression I get. It is like a second home.

            Well done to ALL contributers.

              Haig,
How about something like Microsoft's KnowlegeBase? It may help for basic problems. Also, I personally like the way HP does its driver section. Other than that, the site is nice. It is a tad geared too much towards marketing, and not enough for the post-sale part.

                Haig

I just thought of a MAJOR one!

We get notified when someone replies to our own subject thread.

I often thought it would be a good if we could get notified by e-mail, when someone post a reply to a thread that we are really interested in and have been following - not just the originator of the thread.

                Any comments people!
(Gosh this is where someone says - you can, you only have to... etc. & I shall feel so stoopid!!!)

All in all pretty good considering what's out there. Shockwave would be nice
The only thing I find painful is downloading drivers. Site is always full when new drivers are released. Isn't there someway to link the drivers somewhere else for the first 10 days or so of their release... thank God we have MURC...

I'm sure some would appreciate the FAQs in different languages...

                      Hi Ant

OOps - where is the 'official' site?

                      I thought this was it!

Still, what a nice bunch of people on this one eh?

From what I read here, I guess I would be told if there was anything THAT good on the main site. Everyone here seems so well informed - what chaps!

                      Byeee
