  • Yet another G400 review (but this one I care about)

Combatsim.com finally put up what is for me, the first relevent review in the never-ending NVIDIA VS MATROX VS 3Dfx wars. They compare a couple of flight sims running on various cards. It ain't a great review (methodolgy) by any stretch of the imagination, but if flight sims are your thing, you might want to look.

Not a single mention of dualhead. Flight sims are the one segment of the gaming market that would be highly interested in this feature. I guess if MS sims are your thing (which support dualhead), the choice is easy. If you're into F4, it gets a little harder to choose.

      Sorry Kruzin ...

they didn't call it 'DualHead', but that article starts its 'preliminary look' with:

"From the North we have Matrox,
the twin headed Queen, armed with
bumped maps and dressed to the MAX
      [...]
But the G400 does environmental bump mapping
in hardware, as well as featuring the
      dual head display capability
      "

Btw, I love that review, because of its 'different' kind of speech

OK, He mentioned it's existance, but he didn't talk about the fact that some of the sims he was benching do actually use it

I see ... you're right, he should have done that.
