  • decal probs for - you guessed it! - CS!

    Now that i use d3d, i used the setting:
    gl_polyoffset -0.1
    thanks to Kruzin, for decals.

    BUT i SEE decals through walls and boxes etc when i shouldn't!!
    They include gun shots, explosion marks, and even writing on walls.

    CAN anyone explain why?

    ALSO at the matrox website, when it says 'final' under the latest drivers, does this mean that it will be the LAST and FINAL release for the product???

      Final? I don't think so. I think it just mean that the beta-testing for that specific version of the driver was done, and was considered good enough to be released. Try different gl_polyoffset settings. I use 2. Try 1, 2, 20, -1 etc.

        Goto display properties/settings/advanced/options and enable 32Bit Z, apply and reboot.

          question(as always):
          what does the numbers for polyoffset mean???
          rags, how do you know that setting it to 32-bit zbuffer will fix it???

          warm regards

            I have seen this on my own machine, that's how.

              The 32-bit Z-Buffer setting might help as well.
