  • Matrox Mill 2 and Everquest

Anyone manage to get this to work? I have a second pc which i want to use my second EQ account on, but i only have an old mill 2 and i get the No 3d Device Found error. I have installed latest drivers from matrox.com and directx8.

It's not going to happen. The hardware doesn't support it.

Would a g200 be good enough to play everquest on? Doesnt have to be good, just so i can see where i'm going and get 10fps or so.

Why get a G200 when G400/G450's can be had for about the same cost?

Cause the g200 goes for less on the online auctions where i live

            Where do you live?

The G400 is over twice as fast in most games, and it supports more games and OpenGL works better with it than the G200, Honestly, if you can afford it, I would go with a G400.

I'm pretty sure a g200 can deliver more than 10 fps!!!

If you use latest drivers and use cacheman and minimise resource usage you can play almost any game at around 20-40fps (if settings are med-low quality & 640x480)

But rags is right, you should get a g400 it is pretty cheap now.

How much CAN you get a g200?? If it is really really really cheap then you should just geta g200-if fast performance is not a necessity!
