UT Browser - Need Help!

I bought a copy of UT for my brother and now he is trying to get it working. So far everything is ok until he tries to go online. When he clicks on one of the browser tabs, the Master Server Query "times out". If he opens a connection directly with a specific address, he can join and play a game.
So... any ideas what's wrong? He also can't connect to the IRC channel. He's using a Dialup connection.

I had him download the 4.36 patch, but it still doesn't work.

The same thing happened with my dad and moms UT.. After about 8 hours of my boyfriend working on it they realized that his Compuserve Parental controls were on.. hee hee.. my mom is so sneaky.. lol Anyways, its worth checking it out.

If he is behind a firewall then he needs to open he ports that the master browser uses aswell as the ones that the game uses.

Thanks, I think you are onto something. Talking to him again, I found a couple suspicious things go on. His ISP does indeed have some sort of "smut filter" -- I told him to ask his ISP about it.
Also, he said something about setting up a proxy server (via instructions from the ISP) even though he only has one computer - so that may be causing issues as well.
