  • don't waste time downloading ONI demo for G400

    forget it...

of course, if anyone has is working, please let us know how. It doesn't seem worth the effort.

This doesn't bode well for Halo. I guess I'll have to buy an Xbox.

I'm trying Serious Sam next. Crossing my fingers...

I had problems as well but not too bad:

      1) No textures on walls and models.
      2) I can't see the console, yellow floors, etc.
      3) Switching to 16-bit color depth give me a blank screen, and I have to reset the computer. The music was still playing and I couldn't end task the game

My desktop configuration: http://alpha.zimage.com/~ant/antfarm.../computers.txt (I am using the latest Matrox drivers).

Well, I played it in 1024 16 bit and 32 bit.

Both look awesome and smooth as silk.

Maybe the next drivers will do the same.

cyjo: Are you using Windows 9x or 2000? I am 98. I wonder if Windows 2000 users have no problems. Hmm!

I just d/l'd it and tried it on my g400/win98se. Worked fine, both at default 640x480 med detail, and 1024x768 hi detail.

i have the same problem with the textures not coming up, i think it's something wrong with win98se no the card or the drivers.
                            i have a G400 32meg DH
                            DD 6.10
                            win98se
                            no harm, no foul.

                              I was using 98se, pd6.10 and dx8 (for Giants).

I have downgraded to 5.55 and dx7a, but I can't see half the textures on Giants now.

Anyone have a suggestion for the best 98se driver/dx combo?
